Pod-Casts

So you can’t find the time to read all the skeptical and scientific journals and blogs. How about Podcasts? What I do is download a bunch of podcasts at once and then play them whenever I am in the car driving somewhere.
And for your consideration, here is a list of my favorites …
This is a weekly 5-10 minute podcast dealing with skeptical subjects. One Week, one subject. What I really like about this podcast is the way Brian first gives you the whole story as known to us, the breaks it down and discusses it in detail, reminding you, at the end of each episode not to believe him either but to go out and find the truth for yourself.
This is a great Podcast for many reasons, to name but a few.
It is hosted by a real brain doctor.
It has 5 hosts, so you get more than just one person’s opinion.
It has games to help you sharpen your skeptic brain.
And has some great interviews.
Similar to Skeptoid but created by the SGU team above.
This has got to be the funniest podcast out there and it is by a skeptic who covers everything from music, to science, to nature with other stuff thrown in for fun.
This is a weekly podcast by Scientific American. It is about 50/50 Science/Skepticism and has a game every week to help you practice your skills.
This is a science show with games and experiments you can do at home, plus interviews and news on the latest scientific discoveries. What I love most about this show is that it is scientists being scientists, no skeptical activism i.e. True Skeptics living their life and vocation with having to say that they are skeptics.

    Hi Themyst,

I love your blog and I will be reading on and on.

But I have a question? Have you ever being skeptic for being skeptical?

This will really help us understand much of what you blog

    Thank you

    Hi,

    Thanks for the comment.

I do not quiet understand what you are getting at, you are either skeptic of a subject or you are not. You either believe what someone tells you or you don’t.

  3. Prayson Daniel Says:

You are ether for ,against or, do not know about a Subject!

If the Do-Not Know Is Skepticism then you are agnostic not a skeptic.

Skepticism is skeptical to all Subject except Skepticism(Itself) which is absurd!

It is Either there is no God or there is God (Can not be both) I used to think of Skepticism as a double agent(Playing for and against)

It is Good to Be Skeptical(Though Dynamic and not Stationary)

It is in deed a good thing to be Skeptical, I am skeptical in many things(Even Biblical Things) but it is not a stationary position to be! It is a dynamic position, I place where you night and day study, reason and reflect to the Subject to which you are Skeptical about and with an aim(Objective goal, not Subjective) of finding a Stationary place where you will stand or fall.

Example: I am mortal, I can be skeptical about this but it will be quite sad if I leave the rest of my life thinking am I mortal or immortal?

Some things need to be resolved in a given time:
If(and only if) Christian God Exist, Disbelieving Him(Christ Jesus as God) mean eternal life in a place which I do not like what the Bible say about.
Things like this need to be resolved and not dynamically being Skeptical about
